Dr. Kuether received his medical degree from University of Kansas in 1993. He then moved to Portland to begin his internship and residency which he completed in 2000 and he has been in private practice since.
Dr. Kuether trained for 7 years in Neurosurgery at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland and then went on to complete an additional Fellowship in Interventional Neurosurgery. He is board certified in Neurosurgery and is the Director of Neurotrauma at Legacy Emanuel Hospital.
Dr. Kuether performs all aspects of brain and spine surgery, including complex tumors and reconstruction, minimally invasive surgery, and non fusion technology such as artificial cervical replacement.
Dr. Kuether’s office is at Legacy Emanuel Hospital and he operates at Legacy Good Samaritan, Legacy Emanuel, and Wilshire Surgery Center (which is located across from St. Vincent Hospital in Beaverton). He and his staff are committed to giving you the best experience and patient care possible. Dr. Kuether has had both neck and back surgery himself, so he is especially suited to understand your needs.
Dr. Kuether enjoys skiing, traveling, mountain biking, atv riding, and spending time with his family.
